EUGENE, Ore. — ESPN’s College GameDay has kicked off their sixth consecutive appearance at the University of Oregon.
On Friday, the hosts (including Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso) arrived on campus. And since the competition is between the Spartan and the Duck, it’s pretty clear who’s side analyst Kirk Herbstreit is on.
Set-up started Thursday, and Friday. KEZI News got to stop by the UO to talk with both Herbstreit and David Pollack. They both said they love visiting Eugene for a lot of reasons, but the duck is a big part of the fun.
“He’s kind of looking around, like yawning like looking around like, what’s this crowd out here, and he takes a bath, you know. He’s just a nut! He has fun with it. We have fun with him, so he’s by far, he’s by far the most entertaining mascot there is in the country, and we always love having him around,” Herbstreit said.
Herbstreit said the fans and the spirit at Autzen also make Eugene one of his favorite locations for the show.
