EUGENE, Ore — Freshman Royce Freeman rushed for 4 touchdowns as 9th-ranked Oregon extended its winning streak against Washington to 11 games, as the Ducks dominated the Huskies 45-20 in front of a packed house at Autzen Stadium.
Freeman rushed for three first half touchdowns and the Oregon led 28-6 at halftime. Freeman rushed for another TD in the second half, and the freshman finished with 169 yards on 29 carries and four touchdowns. It was the second straight game Freeman finished with over 100 yards rushing.
Marcus Mariota continued his argument to be a Heisman candidate, throwing for 336 yards and two touchdowns. This was the 33rd straight game Mariota has thrown a touchdown pass.
The Ducks defense limited the Huskies offense to just 317 yards, and forced two turnovers, including Erick Dargan recording his fourth interception of the year.
Oregon now flies south to the Bay Area to take on Cal next Friday at the brand-new Levi’s Stadium at 7:15 p.m.
